One more thing: Not that I am complaining, but will reporting this issue again, in this thread have a greater effect than reporting it in the previous deploymentr thread, OR bug reporting it ? I did both, and the bug report was filtered with the "known issue" response.
Confirming that it's a known issue, which means there's an open defect in our defect tracking system for it - not that we're happy that it's still happening.

A very common cause of it was fixed. Apparently there's at least one more, the fix for which is in the pipe.
